Ares Management is a roughly $596 billion global alternatives manager whose real estate ambitions in the wealth channel run through Ares Wealth Management Solutions, the distribution arm that brings DST and non-traded vehicles to advisors and their clients. The March 2025 acquisition of GCP International added some $45 billion in AUM and meaningfully deepened its real assets and industrial logistics footprint, complementing the Ares Industrial REIT. Credit remains the platform's dominant gravitational force, but the firm's insurance and separately-managed-account capital base gives its real estate offerings institutional ballast that few pure-play DST sponsors can match.
